In the near future, a mercenary named Toorop is hired by a powerful criminal named Gorsky to transport a woman named Aurora from a Noelite Convent in Central Asia to New York. In exchange for his services, Toorop is promised a large sum of money and a clear passport. Toorop is accompanied by Aurora and her guardian, Sister Rebeka, as they navigate the dangerous Russian landscape and flee from mercenaries who are also trying to get their hands on Aurora.

During the journey, Toorop discovers that Aurora possesses special abilities. When they finally arrive in New York, they learn that the Noelite Convent has been bombed.
