A comedian who hosts a news satire program decides to run for president, and a computerized voting machine malfunction gets him elected.

Details

In the movie Man of the Year (2006), Tom Dobbs, a popular comedian and host of a political talk show, decides to run for President of the United States as an independent candidate. Inspired by figures like Bill Maher and Jon Stewart, Dobbs focuses on issues and delivers an explosive performance in the final debate, gaining enough votes to win the election.

However, Dobbs soon discovers that his victory is not as straightforward as it seems. A computer glitch in the national touch-screen voting system, marketed by Delacroy, a private company, has manipulated the results in his favor. Delacroy's executives, who are eager to protect their rising stock price and fortune, want to keep the glitch a secret.

Amidst this turmoil, a programmer named Eleanor Green becomes aware of the truth behind the glitch and believes that Dobbs deserves to know. She endeavors to reach out to him, despite the immense obstacles and dangers she faces.

As Dobbs becomes aware of the conspiracy surrounding his election, he must decide whether to expose the truth at the risk of his own safety and political career, or to preserve the illusion of his victory and continue with his presidency.

Man of the Year takes audiences on a thrilling journey as the protagonist navigates the complex world of politics, corporate greed, and personal integrity. Will Dobbs uncover the truth and stand up for what is right, or will he succumb to the pressures of the powerful elites? Watch to find out!
