Heist
Details
In this thrilling crime film directed by David Mamet, Gene Hackman delivers a brilliant performance as the leader of a skilled gang of thieves. Alongside Delroy Lindo, Ricky Jay, and Rebecca Pigeon as his wife, they execute elaborate heists for a shady fence portrayed by Danny DeVito.
When DeVito double-crosses them on a high-stakes jewelry robbery, the gang is forced to carry out an even riskier plan – stealing a shipment of gold from Switzerland. To complicate matters, they must include DeVito's unpredictable nephew, played by Sam Rockwell, in their scheme.
As tension rises, distrust consumes the group's dynamic, and each step they take is fraught with unexpected twists and turns. With no one able to trust anyone, the heist becomes a chaotic rollercoaster ride that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.
Heist showcases Mamet's mastery of storytelling, taking audiences through a series of surprising plot twists. While some of these twists prove successful, others may leave viewers with mixed feelings.
With its intricate plot and stellar performances from a talented ensemble cast, Heist is an exciting crime film that will leave audiences guessing until the final moments.
