In the comedy film Bio-Dome (1996), Bud and Doyle are aimless and unmotivated individuals who show little concern for saving the environment. While their girlfriends are passionate about environmental activism, the two friends remain indifferent. However, their lives take an unexpected turn when a team of scientists embarks on a year-long experiment called the Bio-Dome, isolating themselves from the outside world to study and protect the Earth's ecosystem.
Due to a hilarious mix-up at the entrance, Bud and Doyle accidentally become locked inside the Bio-Dome, much to their dismay. Now, they must adapt to their new surroundings and find a way to assist the scientists in accomplishing their mission.
