Butterfly Vision

In Butterfly Vision (2022), soldier Lilia, a 29-year-old woman, returns home from captivity to find out she is pregnant after being raped by her warden. She is faced with the challenging task of navigating the aftermath of this trauma while also grappling with societal stigmas and prejudices. As she struggles to come to terms with her situation, Lilia must find the strength within herself to not only survive but also protect her unborn child against a society that is not yet ready to accept them.

The film explores themes of resilience, motherhood, and the harsh realities faced by women in the aftermath of sexual violence. Lilia's journey is one of courage and determination as she fights against the odds to overcome the trauma she has endured. Through her struggles, Butterfly Vision sheds light on the challenges faced by survivors of sexual violence and the importance of support and understanding in their healing process.
