When spoiled, 21-year old college student Luce Lockhart is forced to take a job over the holidays walking a rich developer's dog, she is thrilled to discover they are going to build a salon and spa over the quaint local dog park nearby. But when Luce meets Dean, an irritating yet handsome dogwalker actively trying to stop them, Luce is forced to question what the park means to her newfound friends, and whether she can put aside her selfish ways to help save the park before Christmas.

The two main characters, Jim and Amanda (Mark and Sarah) were high school sweethearts, but as time has passed they moved on with their lives and they have now become adults who have had their own different experiences along the way and now that they have reunited, we find they still have that chemistry between them. This was great casting, these two actors work really well together, normally I throw 9's and 10's all over the place These characters are so natural, so done with this earth in the sense that they live in our world, they are believable and now need an escape even if it is just for a single day. This movie focuses on just them, these two people for the entire film and I cannot thank Mark Duplass for this (he is the screenwriter) because I have not seen a film where the two main characters are the only characters, I didn't get sick of them, I did not find them boring, ever, they were very fleshed out and they felt like genuine, real people who were put in this situation and now find out that they work really well together.

The outcome of this subplot is somewhat unexpected.

When a Marine Colonel orders his men to massacre a village they were sent to rescue some hostages but when they found them dead they decide to get some payback. The Colonel and his men are also on the plane. They takeover the plane. When the tower learns of the deviation a government man arrives and upon learning of the Colonel's presence on the plane sends a team to get on board the plane while in flight. When they get on, the Colonel and his men find them and kill them except for the leader who pretended to be dead. Now he alone has to stop the Colonel and his only help is the flight attendant.
