When he falls asleep, Irene slips down to the hotel bar where she mistakes the barman, Jean, for a wealthy guest. Jean plays along and takes her up to the Royal Suite for the night.
A year later, a similar incident occurs but this time Irene's lover finds out and disowns her. Despite discovering that Jean is just a barman with little money, Irene continues to live the high life using his funds.
