In Sällskapsresan eller Finns det svenskt kaffe på grisfesten (1980), Stig-Helmer Olsson, a reserved and unadventurous man, decides to embark on his first-ever trip abroad. Opting for a Christmas vacation on the sunny Canary Islands, he eagerly prepares for the journey. However, just before his departure, Stig-Helmer's doctor asks him to deliver a package to a friend. Unbeknownst to Stig-Helmer, the package contains a substantial amount of money - 50,000 SEK - which is strictly prohibited to take out of the country.
Unfortunately, Stig-Helmer's bag, containing the package, mysteriously disappears at the airport. Dr. Levander's friend becomes convinced that Stig-Helmer has stolen the money and becomes increasingly anxious to recover it. As Stig-Helmer begins his holiday, he is unaware of the chaos that has ensued due to the missing package.
